Excell IT Inc., a thriving IT Management company located in Mississauga, is looking for a well qualified level II Help Desk Technician. Responsibilities:
• Provide first and second level support to the end users, including analyzing, testing and troubleshooting hardware, software, remote access, handhelds and peripheral problems pertaining to servers, desktops, laptops, printers and networking issues.
• Diagnose problems by asking accurate, concise questions in a professional and timely manner.
• Accurately prioritize and categorize calls, manage crisis escalation and transfer calls to other support groups as appropriate.
• Follow up with customers to ensure problems have been resolved.
• Document technical procedures and tracking / controlling hardware assets.
• Provide hardware and software configuration setup and deployment.
• Coordinate hardware and software repair / warranty, schedule maintenance, and manage the work of/with vendors.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Degree or College Diploma in a related field of Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as proven ability to work effectively both independently and take direction within team environment. This is a customer centric position and our customers demand fluency in English.
• Strong multi-tasking and prioritizing skills, with the ability to complete tasks within assigned timelines, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Server, Microsoft Small Business Server and networking protocols.
• Sound understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Blackberry, and Microsoft CRM.
Others:
Experience with Alert software an asset
Candidates possessing Microsoft certifications are preferred
Salary guideline: $36,000 - $40,000 per annum
